Cold water reduces body temperature. Exercising with cold water is effective by reducing the temperature of the body to keep you cool during your workout. Cold water helps your body avoid heat stroke or exhaustion, especially in the summertime. The harder it is outside, the easier it is for your body to consume cold water. It enhances weight loss. It enhances your metabolism.
No warm water in the summer, or after a hot day in the sun. Because your body temperature is already elevated, you do not want anything to heat you up further. No cold water right after eating—slowing down the digestion system with cold water will lead to indigestion.
